The house traces its origins to 1982, when it began auctioning under the name Sala Barna. It rebranded as Arce Subastas in 1997, and in 2012 new partners launched Sala de Ventas Barcelona. The most recent chapter saw both brands partner with Auctionet, creating a more international and digital-first operation. Today, led by CEO Julian Garcia, the house combines the accessibility of continuous online auctions with curated Fine Art events throughout the year.
