Ekenbergs Auktioner was founded in 2017 by Jennie and Jens Ekenberg, a couple whose shared enthusiasm for secondhand goods and the stories objects carry turned a personal passion into a business. The house opened its first premises in Svängsta before relocating in 2018 to the Strömma district of Karlshamn, taking over the space previously occupied by Begagnatcentralen. In April 2022, the business moved again - this time into a purpose-fitted 2,000 sqm auction hall at Strömmavägen 28, a facility that houses the auction operation alongside a secondhand shop and viewing areas under one roof.

Jennie Ekenberg, a trained auctioneer and appraiser, describes herself as a flea market enthusiast with a particular interest in jewelry, textiles, and Asian porcelain - a range that is well reflected in the catalog. The house sells everything from ceramics, glass, and paintings to collectibles and everyday household goods, operating entirely through the Auctionet platform and reaching buyers across Europe and beyond.

Beyond the auction hall, Ekenbergs runs two companion ventures at the same address: Pryttlar och Pinaler and Strömma Antikt och Secondhand, a roughly 100 sqm shop stocked with antiques and curated secondhand finds. The business also offers free valuations, estate clearing, packing, and removal services - making it a practical first call for anyone in the Blekinge region looking to sell an estate or a single object with history.
