Denmark's largest and most established auction house, founded on 6 October 1948 when Arne Bruun Rasmussen held his first sale at Bredgade 33 in Copenhagen. The house operated as a family business through three generations before being acquired by Bonhams in March 2022, becoming part of a global auction network.
Bruun Rasmussen handles more than 75,000 lots per year across 60+ categories, including fine art, modern design, antiques, jewelry, watches, silver, wine, stamps, coins, and classic cars. The house was an early adopter of online auctions, launching its digital platform in 2004 to complement the traditional live sales.
Following the relocation from the historic Bredgade premises in September 2023, the house now operates from Lyngby (headquarters), Aarhus, and Glostrup.
