Millon is France's leading independent auction house, founded in 1928 by Maitre Jacques Robert at 5 avenue d'Eylau in Paris. Claude Robert, his son, shaped the house from 1951 through estate sales of artists' studios, championing lesser-known figures and building an institution with strong scholarly credentials. The partnership with Joel-Marie Millon from 1990 deepened the house's commitment to Art Nouveau, Art Deco, jewelry, and modern art, and gave the group its current name.
Today Millon operates from seven salerooms across France and Belgium, with expertise offices in 35 cities worldwide and annual sales of 120.3 million euros in 2024. Its 35 specialist departments cover furniture, paintings from Old Masters to contemporary, jewelry, Asian art, historical memorabilia, and wines. The Paris Drouot location at 19 rue de la Grange Bateliere is the group's primary prestige sales venue.
