Born in Stockholm in 1947 and raised in Hökarängen and Lidingö, Lena Linderholm grew up in a household steeped in culture and art. She spent ten years studying at some of Sweden's leading art institutions, including Konstfack, Handarbetets Vänner, and Konstindustriella.

Linderholm's paintings are immediately recognizable: saturated color, generous compositions of flowers, fruit, and laid tables. In 1973 she met the musician Gösta Linderholm, and the couple divided their time between Strängnäs in Södermanland and Provence in southern France.

Beyond painting, Linderholm has built a broad creative practice encompassing ceramics, textiles, lithography, and book publishing. Together with Gösta, she authored several books blending recipes, reflections, and art, among them "Blå, blå lavendel i Provence" and "Lenas & Göstas julbok."

For many years, Linderholm ran a gallery and café in central Vaxholm. She has since maintained a gallery, shop, and studio in Stallarholmen near Strängnäs.

On the secondary market, Linderholm's work appears regularly at Nordic auction houses. With 104 items recorded, her output spans paintings, lithographs, ceramics, textiles, and glass. Top results include "Oppstilling med frukt" at 4,100 NOK and "Flicka i hjärta" at 3,400 SEK.
