Lasse Aberg occupies a unique position in Swedish culture: equally beloved as a comedian, filmmaker, musician, and visual artist. Born on 5 May 1940, he studied graphic design at Konstfack from 1960 to 1964, a training that shaped his precise, playful approach to image-making. His artistic career runs parallel to a filmography that includes some of the most commercially successful Swedish comedies ever made, beginning with "Saellskapsresan" (The Charter Trip, 1980) and its sequels featuring the lovably hapless Stig-Helmer Olsson.

As a visual artist, Aberg is best known for his lithographs, many of which feature his signature subject: sketchy, affectionate pastiches of Mickey Mouse and other Disney characters. His lifelong passion for Disney runs deep; he is considered an expert on Disney memorabilia and has amassed one of the world's leading private collections, now housed in his own museum, Abergs Museum, in Balsta outside Stockholm. His prints bridge the worlds of fine art and popular culture with a gentle humour that mirrors his comedic persona.

Aberg's other creative ventures include co-founding the comedy children's band Electric Banana Band and creating "Trazan and Banarne," one of Sweden's most beloved children's television shows. His glass designs, produced in collaboration with Swedish glassworks, add another dimension to a remarkably varied creative output.

At auction, Aberg's work appears across houses including Metropol, Ekenbergs, Bjornssons Auktionskammare, and Auktionshuset Kolonn. With 167 items on Auctionist spanning art prints, glass, and ceramics, his market is accessible. Signed lithographs reach around 2,600 to 3,000 SEK, while his branded glassware and ceramic items trade at lower price points, reflecting the broad popular appeal of his imagery.
