Henrietta Kozica

Henrietta Kozica was born in 1984 and lives in Höganäs, a coastal town in the far south of Sweden outside Helsingborg. Her practice is grounded in a relationship with the natural world that she describes as travelling within the intelligence of nature - an attempt to make visible what she calls the forgotten, the layers of organic life and ancient time that persist beneath the surface of the visible.

She began as a canvas painter and book illustrator, working in a classical figurative mode that drew on botanical and landscape traditions. Her imagery tends toward the mystical and the archetypal: forests, water, submerged kingdoms, and biological structures that hover between the microscopic and the cosmic. Works like "Blue Kingdom", "Euphotic", "Hydroponics", "Imago", and "Ancient" speak to an interest in nature's deeper strata - from the light-saturated upper zones of the ocean to the transformation of living matter.

In 2016 she was invited to participate in Artscape, Scandinavia's largest street art festival, which spread across all ten districts of Gothenburg. Though she had never used spray paint before, she created a mystical winding forest mural on Kulturhuset Kåken that became one of the more discussed works of that edition. It marked a turning point in her public presence, and she has since painted additional indoor walls in the same building and been involved with international street art events including Upfest in Bristol.

Her transition into limited-edition prints has extended her reach to collectors in the Nordic market. The prints are produced as numbered giclees, editions that bring her detailed natural imagery into a collectible format without sacrificing the textural quality of the original work. Auctionet has listed her print "Fantasy landscape" (numbered 12/90), giving a sense of the edition sizes she works with.

In the Auctionist database, all 27 of Kozica's items have appeared through Fineart, a Norwegian gallery and auction platform with a broad Nordic reach. The print titles circulating in these auctions - "The colony", "Beyond", "Blue Kingdom", "The Arc", "Ancient", "Euphotic", "Hydroponics", and "Imago" - map the consistent thematic vocabulary of her work. Realized prices sit at modest levels around 250 NOK, reflecting her position as an emerging artist whose primary market remains the direct gallery and studio context rather than secondary auction.
