Stockholms Auktionsverk Magasin 5 is the high-volume online auction branch of Stockholms Auktionsverk, the world's oldest auction house, founded in 1674 on the initiative of Baron Claes Ralamb, then Governor of Stockholm. Located at Palermogatan 19 in Frihamnen, Stockholm's historic free port district, Magasin 5 has operated as the house's dedicated "Stadsauktion" facility since autumn 2011, handling everyday auctions across art, ceramics, furniture, silver, jewelry, and vintage items.
While the Fine Art division at Nybrogatan 32 curates high-end quality sales, Magasin 5 serves as the volume engine of the Auctionet network, with over 21,000 items indexed. The facility also functions as a walk-in valuation center open six days a week. Stockholms Auktionsverk is part of the Auctionet group (Auction Network Sweden AB), employing approximately 96 people across the full organization.
