Palsgaard Kunstauktioner was established in 2023 by Nicolai Palsgard Christensen, making it the first Danish auction house to join the Auctionet platform. Located at Midtager 33 in Brondby, just 16 kilometers from Copenhagen, the house was founded with the ambition of rethinking the auction industry in Denmark and bringing Scandinavian art and design to a broader international audience.
The house has a pronounced focus on Danish design furniture, with chairs, tables, and lighting forming the core of its catalog of over 8,000 items. Mid-century Danish designers feature prominently, and notable sales include a Faberge piece at 126,000 SEK and Hans J. Wegner chairs at 62,000 SEK. Palsgaard runs monthly and themed auctions with competitive commissions, catering to collectors of Scandinavian design, ceramics, and decorative arts.
