Lyon & Turnbull is Scotland's oldest auction house, tracing its origins to 1826 when Jonathan Lyon began trading as an auctioneer in Edinburgh. His son William later partnered with William Elliot Turnbull in 1863, establishing the firm's enduring name.
Headquartered at 33 Broughton Place in a Greek Revival building within a converted 19th-century church, the house also operates from Broadside in Edinburgh, a London gallery in Mayfair, and a Glasgow gallery.
