Falun Auktionsbyrå operates from Sturegatan 61A in Falun, the capital of Dalarna county in central Sweden. The business runs under the registered entity Dalarnas JO Auktionsbyrå AB (organisationsnummer 556498-7666), active as a limited company since 1994. It participates in the Auctionet marketplace, running rolling online auctions with daily closings.
Falun sits at the heart of one of Sweden's most culturally distinctive regions - home to the Falun Copper Mine (UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001) and a long tradition of Dalarna folk art and craftsmanship. The house's catalogue reflects this regional character: ceramics form the single largest category, followed by a broad miscellaneous mix of household and decorative objects. Paintings and art works round out the offer, with recurring interest in Swedish applied arts and period furniture.
Top results show a willingness to handle specialist material: a Harald Salomon medal collection achieving 19,147 SEK and a Birger Ekman Art Deco bar cabinet at 18,726 SEK indicate genuine depth in decorative arts and numismatics. The house targets local estate consignments alongside regional collectors, offering a 25 percent buyer's premium plus a flat fee.
