Bukowskis Helsinki is the Finnish home of the Nordic region's leading auction house, located at Mastokatu 4-6 in the heart of Helsinki's harbour district. The local Finnish team handles valuations, consignments, and transport, specializing in Finnish art, Nordic design, and fine jewelry - with a particular strength in Finnish masters like Akseli Gallen-Kallela, Tove Jansson, and Reidar Särestöniemi.
The Helsinki saleroom has produced some of Bukowskis' most remarkable results for Finnish art. Tove Jansson's self-portrait "Vila" holds the house record at 2,750,000 SEK, while works by Särestöniemi and Gallen-Kallela regularly draw strong international interest. Finnish design icons - Paavo Tynell lighting, Tapio Wirkkala glass, Alvar Aalto furniture, and Oiva Toikka art glass - are consistent highlights.
Bukowskis was founded in Stockholm in 1870 and acquired by Bonhams in 2022. The Helsinki operation applies a 25.3% buyer's premium (incl. Finnish VAT) and trades in EUR.
